Grade the soil at the base of the foam away from the building and set layer of foam down flat and tight against the the edge foam.
This horizontal foam completes the frost protection, and the slight grading away from the building helps to move water away from the footer.
Add perimeter drains and a layer of drain rock.
*Technique note : Account for the thickness of this foam when forming for the concrete pour. This allows you to set the foam at the time of the pour - stripping the formwork will be easy (and cleaner) and the foam will already be in place.
